The trail running Celebration by women, for women.
All-women races, adventure runs, and community experiences for wherever you are on your trail journey
First ultra? First trail race? First time believing you can?
We started Wild Woman in 2012 as the first all-women's marathon or 50k in the country — trail or road. Why? Because we knew what the stats now prove: women need something different from the running industry. We need:
A crew that actually gets it. Your period might show up mid-race. You might need to pee behind a tree. Your sports bra will chafe. We don’t ignore what actually affects women.
All levels, actually welcome. From relay teams running 4.6 miles to first-time ultrarunners tackling 50k, you belong here. The mom who's never run trails, the teen testing her limits, the competitive racer chasing a PR — this is for all of you.
Community alongside competition. Yes, we have finish lines. But what women come for is a weekend of camping, speaker panels, workshops, post-run pizza, recovery, cold tubs, and women who will cheer louder for your first finish than their own PR.
You don't need the perfect training plan or $500 shoes. You just need to be curious about what your body can do when surrounded by nature and community.
Way More Than a Race
Wild Woman Trail Race Weekend | June 19-21, 2026 | Trout Lake, WA, at the base of Mt. Adams
50k, Marathon, Half Marathon, and Relay
This isn't show up, run, go home. Wild Woman is a full weekend retreat at the base of a 12,276-foot volcano in the Columbia River Gorge.
Camping is included (and encouraged) for runners of all distances. Your family can come too, if you want them to!
The vibe is small-scale and grassroots, like being welcomed into a mountain home where everyone's pulling for each other.
The Spirit of the Wild Woman
Wild Woman Race Options
Relay Team: Grab a friend (or 3) and run a section of the marathon course. Distances range from 4.6 - 8 miles, making this a perfect first-time trail running race option.
Half Marathon: The half is a fantastic distance to challenge runners, even if you’ve never hit the trails!
Trail Marathon: Roll over gentle hills inside a Pacific Northwest forest paradise on the full marathon course. You’ll cross multiple mountain streams and feel the energy of support at every aid station.
50k Ultra Distance: Women have a way of doing more than they thought possible. This is why we offer an approachable way to do your first (or fiftieth) ultramarathon.
Afterward, all runners will be treated to lunch, post-run recovery, cold-soak tubs, and pure bliss.
